'Paradise Gate' is the beautiful welcome entrance to the Bribie Island Butterfly House.
The gate was commissioned in 2016 and was paid for by a grant from Unity Water.
The gate is aluminum in construction with a wrought iron look. Meg took the leaf shapes from established butterfly-attracting plants within the Butterfly House, making it considered and place specific. The gate provides a secured entrance to the popular tourist attraction whilst also giving the visitors the feeling that they are walking into a mystical space where great beauty lies within, adding to the sense of excitement as they explore this amazing garden.
